Battery Systems

VoltaMove´s low-voltage Power-Packs can be used as a portable power generator together with a DC-AC converter for a 230 V household socket. They support a continuous current load of 60 A and provide up to 3,000 W of continuous power. The system is designed for flexible applications, making it a reliable and efficient power solution for various needs. It ensures a stable energy supply for all uses.

Powerhouse

In small and flexible container boxes, movable by car trailers, the battery systems are used as mobile electricity storage, battery charging (solar-based), and power & water distribution units. They supply the rural population with drinking water and clean electricity. 5 stations of swappable batteries serve as charging & storage units: Balingho (power & water), Kity (launderette), USET (training centre), Sintet (food cooling storage), and Kaolack (power & water).

Electric Outboard Motors

For fisherwomen, oystercatchers, or birdwatchers, the company VoltaMove Gambia is testing outboard motors between 1.5 kW and 20 HP. The benefits of electric motors, such as high kinetic efficiency and low transport costs per km and ton, are convincing for customers. These motors offer a cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable solution for water transport.

PE or GRP Boats

The advantages of polyethylene (PE) or glass-fibre-reinforced plastics (GRP) boats over wooden boats are that they are lighter and hydrodynamically optimized. Shells cannot cling to the hull. A floating platform could be built between two pirogue boats. This catamaran could be used for river transport or serve as a foundation for houseboats catering to tourists.

2 - Wheeler

For the local assembly of electric motorcycles, the company will set up a spare parts warehouse and build up personnel manufacturing capacities in autumn 2025. These will prevent broken vehicles from lying on the roadside as scrap. The e-Rider is a two-wheel drive scooter designed for African roads. It has high torque and can bear loads of up to 500 kg while towing a 350-kg trailer, making it an efficient and affordable transport solution.

3 - Wheeler

VoltaMove is transforming how people move. A “VoltaMover” is a 3-wheeler,  also called a Keke, Tuk-tuk, or Bajaji. This electric vehicle is one of the most cost-effective transport solutions. The assembly will begin in The Gambia in autumn 2025. The first fleet operator of tricycles will be The National Bakers Union, delivering fresh bread to customers via electric mobility. With its efficient performance, this vehicle is ideal for urban and rural transportation needs.

Sun-e-Ferry

Sun-e-Ferry is a project of a self-sufficient passenger pirogue for up to 30 people, powered by sunlight, PV modules, replaceable batteries and electric motors.
